Among our activities, we offer anesthesia consultations for preoperative preparedness and optimisation for children and adults on appointment only, regardless of the surgical or medical location institution. These consultations aim to prepare and optimise the patient before any surgical or medical procedure or any intervention requiring sedation, general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, or hypnosis. This consultation should take place no sooner than 8 days before surgery to allow for any necessary pre-operative examinations. It is important to note that these consultations are scheduled in advance to allow for these additional examinations. If you require urgent surgery or intervention, you must contact the institution providing your care directly.

Patients attending this consultation must bring a letter from their referring surgeon or physician or specialist specifying the anticipated date of the procedure, the surgical or medical approach (open surgery or laparotomy, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, robot-assisted surgery, minimally invasive procedure etc..), the type of hospitalisation (conventional or outpatient), and the day of hospital admission (either day 0 or day -1). In addition to the information requested above, the patient should bring all previously performed tests: blood tests, electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, reports from specialist consultations, reports from their referring physician, a list of medications with the exact dosage and timing of administration, etc.

The purpose of this anesthesia consultation is to prepare you for and optimise your experience with the surgical or medical procedure under anesthesia.

To provide a smooth, fluent collaboration and communication, a preoperative anesthesia consultation report will be given to you, send to your referral anesthesist, surgeon or medical specialist who will proceed with the intervention and hospital via the national health platform e-Health at the end of the consultation. This aims to insure a continuous communication between us and all collaborators who are involved in your health management.
